Our Authors and Editors

Two desks put their names on every page: one writes, the other checks. Here is what each does and how the hand-off works.

The CryptoPropFirms authors are two desks rather than individual personas. Every page carries both names: the Research Desk as author and the Risk Desk as reviewer. We publish under desk bylines because the work is shared, and we would rather show you a process than a made-up biography.

The CryptoPropFirms authors at a glance

Desk Byline role What it does
CryptoPropFirms Research Desk Author Reads firm documents, builds the records, writes reviews, comparisons and guides
CryptoPropFirms Risk Desk Reviewer Re-checks every rule, price and payout figure against the firm's own pages before publishing

Research Desk

The Research Desk is where a page starts. It reads each firm's pricing page, rules table, FAQ and terms, saves a dated copy of every page it relies on, and turns those documents into the values that feed our reviews, lists and calculators. It writes the crypto prop firm reviews, the head-to-head comparisons, the learning guides and the explanations of how each rule works, such as our guide to passing a crypto prop challenge.

When two documents from the same firm disagree, the Research Desk records both and flags the conflict rather than picking one silently.

Risk Desk

The Risk Desk checks numbers before readers see them. Its job is narrow on purpose: confirm that each drawdown limit, reset time, consistency cap, split, fee and refund on a page matches the firm's current published terms, and that worked examples add up. Where the firm's terms and its marketing say different things, the Risk Desk makes sure the page follows the terms and notes the difference.

No page goes live without a second desk re-reading the numbers against the source.

The Risk Desk also signs off on changes to the calculator presets and owns the re-check cadence described in our methodology.

How the two desks work together

  1. Research reads the firm's documents and drafts the page.
  2. Risk re-checks each value against the saved source and the live page.
  3. Disagreements go back to Research with the source attached.
  4. Once both agree, the page is published with an updated date.
  5. Any later fix is logged under our corrections policy.

Neither desk accepts payment from firms, and neither decides rankings by hand: scores are computed from the checked values, so the desks' job is to make sure those values are right.
