This HyroTrader review looks at one of the few crypto prop firms that will let you trade a Bybit or BloFin demo account that belongs to you, connected through an API, or on its in-house Hyro platform. We read the October 2026 terms, the funded-trader agreement, the payout pages and the checkout. Our verdict: HyroTrader is legitimate and better organised than most of its peers, but two quieter rules matter more than the headline numbers.
Who runs HyroTrader and what you are buying
Two companies sit behind the brand. HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC, a Ras Al Khaimah free-zone company in the UAE, provides the service. HYROTRADER TECHNOLOGIES LTD, registered in the British Virgin Islands, holds the technology and handles the funded stage through an agreement of its own. The firm dates itself to 2023, and a January 2026 press release names Samuel Drnda as founder and CEO.
The Bybit link sounds like live capital, and it isn't. The terms say every phase is simulated, the funded phase included, and the site footer now states plainly that no real-capital stage exists. Your Bybit connection supplies prices, the interface and per-pair leverage. Your orders never reach Bybit's live book. Older homepage copy about "real market execution" has been taken down, so the marketing and the legal text now agree.
How the HyroTrader challenge works
You choose from three models:
| Model | Target | Daily limit | Max loss | Min days | Split |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zero-Step | 10% | 3% | 5% | 1 | 80% fixed |
| 1-step | 10% | 4% | 6% | 5 | 80% β 90% |
| 2-step | 10%, then 5% | 5% | 10% | 5 per phase | 80% β 90% |
No time limit applies to any phase, though an account with no trade for 30 days fails. Open profit is ignored for passing; realised trades are what count. Identity checks happen after you pass, not when you pay, so a document problem holds up funding rather than the sale.
The Zero-Step is new. It is a one-day evaluation with a fee that is never refunded and a split fixed at 80%. The 1-step and 2-step fees come back with your first payout, which changes the maths considerably.
The rules that matter most
Drawdown
Both limits are static. The daily floor is taken from your equity at 00:00 UTC, less a fixed percentage of the starting balance. Intraday gains do not drag it upward. The maximum loss is a fixed equity floor at 95%, 94% or 90% of the starting balance, and it never trails a high-water mark. If you want to model a day before you trade it, our drawdown calculator handles this exact structure, and static versus trailing drawdown explains why it matters.
Consistency
This is the rule most people miss. During the evaluation on the 1-step and 2-step, one trading day can contribute at most 40% of the profit target. On the Zero-Step, one trade can contribute at most half of it. Profit above the cap stays in the account but doesn't count toward passing, while losses always count in full. It isn't a breach, but one big day can stretch your evaluation. The funded stage has no such cap. See our explainer on consistency rules and run your numbers through the consistency calculator.
Stop-loss, news and weekends
HyroTrader dropped its stop-loss requirement in mid-2026. It used to demand a stop within five minutes of entry. The October relaunch also scrapped the 3% per-trade cap that replaced it. The terms keep a discretionary power to limit position size or risk per trade idea, but no fixed number is published. News trading is allowed unless the strategy relies on news alone. Overnight and weekend holding is allowed. Bots are fine if the strategy is your own, while copy trading and hedging across accounts are banned. Compare this with other firms on our stop-loss rules page.
Costs and value per $10K
Entry starts at $59 for a $5,000 2-step and tops out at $1,299 for the $200,000 1-step. Zero-Step accounts run from $89 to $949. No add-ons are sold any more: the Swing daily-drawdown upgrade disappeared when every model went static.
Counting the fee plus a second attempt at full price, the 2-step works out cheapest per $10,000 of funding:
| Size | 2-step per $10K | 1-step per $10K | Zero-Step per $10K |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | $238 | $258 | $338 |
| $100,000 | $115.80 | $149.80 | $189.80 |
| $200,000 | $96.90 | $129.90 | n/a |
These figures are higher than at budget firms like Breakout, but the refund on the 1-step and 2-step changes the comparison. A trader who reaches a first payout gets the base fee back, so the real risk is a failed attempt.
Payouts: speed, method and proof
The split starts at 80%. HyroTrader can raise it to 90% on the 1-step and 2-step, but that is at its discretion and never automatic. You can withdraw whenever the funded account shows a profit, in USDT or USDC over Solana or Tron, with a stated turnaround of 24 hours. The minimum is $100 after the split.
The catch: no single request may exceed 5% of the starting balance. On a $100,000 account, anything above $5,000 of profit per request is not paid out.
Solana transfers carry public transaction IDs on the firm's feed, while Tron payouts are not published. The firm's own dashboard claims more than $9.2 million paid, an average processing time just under 16 hours and 99.1% paid inside a day. Those are self-reported numbers. A transaction ID shows money left a wallet. It does not show real capital was traded, and the terms say none was. Our payouts guide covers how to read this kind of evidence.
What changed in October 2026
The relaunch under terms dated 29 September 2026 was a large reset:
- The Zero-Step model arrived, alongside BloFin and the Hyro platform.
- All models switched to a static daily limit, which made the Swing upgrade redundant.
- The per-trade loss cap was abolished.
- The Cleo terminal closed to new challenges.
- Payout turnaround moved from 12 to 24 hours, with the 5% per-request cap.
- A 00:00 UTC daily reset was published for the first time.
- After reaching 20% total profit, a funded trader may request a scaling review, with a $200,000 funded ceiling per trader.
Every dated entry is tracked in our rule changes log.
Who HyroTrader suits, and who should skip it
It suits traders based in the US or UK who want a Bybit-style interface, swing traders who hold over weekends, and anyone who dislikes forced stops. The fee refund rewards traders who expect to get paid.
It is a poor fit if you tend to make most of your target in one session, if you plan to scale a large account and withdraw big sums at once, or if you specifically want a firm that routes orders on chain. Residents of the 23 countries on its restricted list cannot join. For other options, see the HyroTrader alternatives or the head-to-head HyroTrader vs Breakout.
HyroTrader review verdict
Our HyroTrader review lands at 81 out of 100. Transparency and access score near the top of our table, the static limits are easy to plan around, and the stop-loss rule is gone. Cost is the weakest area before the refund, and the 40% evaluation cap and 5% payout cap are the rules to plan for. If neither bothers you, this is one of the strongest crypto-first firms we track. Our Bybit prop firm list shows how it ranks among exchange-connected peers.
Frequently asked questions
Is HyroTrader legit?
Yes. Two named companies operate it (in the UAE and the BVI), its rules and terms are public, and its Solana payouts carry transaction IDs. It is open that all trading, including the funded stage, is simulated.
Does HyroTrader use real money on Bybit?
No. You connect a Bybit or BloFin demo account through an API, and the terms state that every phase is simulated. Bybit provides the prices and the interface, but your orders do not reach its live order book.
Does HyroTrader require a stop-loss?
No. The stop-loss requirement was dropped in 2026, and the per-trade loss cap was scrapped when the firm relaunched in October 2026. The firm keeps a discretionary right to limit position size.
How fast does HyroTrader pay out?
The firm states payouts within 24 hours, whenever you ask, paid in USDT or USDC over Solana or Tron. No single request can exceed 5% of the starting balance, and the minimum is $100.
Does HyroTrader accept US traders?
Yes. Its FAQ says the US and UK are not on its restricted list. US residents cannot use the Tealstreet or Tiger.com terminals, but the Hyro platform and the Bybit and BloFin routes are.
Is the HyroTrader challenge fee refunded?
On the 1-step and 2-step, yes: the fee is added to your first payout. Zero-Step fees are never returned.
