This BrightFunded review looks at a multi-asset prop firm that takes crypto more seriously than most of its forex-first peers. Every BrightFunded CFD challenge includes 48 crypto pairs at 1:5 leverage, positions can be held over weekends, and there is even a free $1K challenge that can pay out. Against that, crypto trading costs are undisclosed, rewards leave in a single coin, and the firm's Trustpilot rating is currently withheld.
What BrightFunded is and who runs it
BrightFunded says it was established in 2023. The parent is Bright Global FZCO, based in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The crypto CFD offer is contracted by BrightFunded Ltd in Saint Lucia (2025-00358), a separate Wyoming company handles futures, and an affiliate, Bright Transact Ltd, is registered in Cyprus. The help centre describes the business as an online demo trading evaluation firm, so all accounts are simulated. See simulated vs real capital for what that means for payouts.
BrightFunded does not appear on the RBI's warning list of unauthorised forex platforms.
How the challenges work
Three CFD challenges carry crypto, with identical crypto conditions in the evaluation and on the funded account:
| Challenge | Target | Daily loss | Maximum loss | Min days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step | 10% | 3% | 6% trailing, then fixed | 5 (0 with add-on) |
| 2-Step Bright | 8% then 5% | 4% | 8% | 5 |
| 2-Step Classic | 10% then 5% | 5% | 10% | 5 |
None has a time limit. Accounts start at up to $400,000 of simulated capital, with a scaling plan beyond that. In mid-October 2026 the firm also launched BrightPlus and BrightCore on CME futures, but those carry no crypto.
The free $1K challenge
BrightFunded also runs a Free $1K Challenge open to every trader. It is a single phase with a 10% target and five minimum days, and unlike most free offers in this market it can lead to a real reward: an 80/20 split paid in USDC or in euros, with the first reward 30 days after the first funded trade. It is a sensible way to test the platform and the rules before spending money. Other firms' free offers are compared on our free crypto prop firm challenges page.
The rules that matter most
Drawdown
Each day's loss limit is anchored to whichever was larger at the day's open, balance or equity. The 1-Step's 6% maximum trails until equity is 6% above the starting balance, then locks. The two 2-Step models use fixed floors. If trailing floors are new to you, read trailing vs static drawdown and test scenarios in our drawdown calculator.
Weekends
Crypto can be traded and held over the weekend while forex and other markets close. A weekend crypto day counts toward the daily limit like any other. Our weekend holding guide compares firms.
News
News trading is unrestricted during the evaluation. On funded accounts, opening or closing a trade from five minutes before to five minutes after major news costs you the profit on that trade but does not fail the account. Because BrightFunded does not specify which markets the window applies to, so treat high-impact US releases as covering crypto until support says otherwise.
Consistency and stop-loss
We found no published consistency rule or stop-loss requirement in the pages we read.
Leverage
Crypto runs at 1:5 on all 48 pairs, against 1:100 on forex. A $50,000 bitcoin position needs $10,000 in margin. Some older third-party write-ups still quote 1:10; the current help centre says 1:5.
Which coins you can trade
The 48 pairs go well beyond the handful most forex firms list. Alongside the majors (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, ADA, Dogecoin, LTC, BCH, TRX) you get layer-1 and layer-2 networks such as AVAX, NEAR, SUI, ARB and OP, DeFi tokens including AAVE, UNI, LDO and DYDX, and others like LINK, RNDR and XMR. It is the widest list among the multi-asset firms we check.
Costs and value per $10K
Prices are in euros. These are list prices; the firm was running a 30% promotion at our last check, which we do not apply.
| Size | 1-Step | 2-Step Bright | 2-Step Classic |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | β¬49 | β¬47 | β¬49 |
| $10,000 | β¬97 | β¬87 | β¬97 |
| $50,000 | β¬297 | β¬277 | β¬297 |
| $100,000 | β¬497 | β¬477 | β¬497 |
| $200,000 | β¬997 | β¬947 | β¬997 |
At $100,000 that is roughly β¬48 to β¬50 per $10,000 of funding before any reset, competitive for a multi-asset firm. The catch is that commission and overnight swap on crypto are not published, so you cannot work out your true trading cost in advance. A refund is available only if you place no trade and ask within 30 days of purchase; the homepage advertises a full fee refund whose conditions we have not read.
Seven coins in, one coin out: BrightFunded accepts BTC (including Lightning), USDT on Tron, USDC, ETH, LTC, TRX and SOL at checkout, but pays crypto rewards only in USDC on ERC-20.
Payouts: speed, method and proof
| Payout detail | BrightFunded |
|---|---|
| Split | 80%, up to 90% |
| First reward | 30 days after the first funded trade |
| Frequency | Every 14 days; weekly or bi-weekly with an add-on |
| Minimum | None |
| Methods | USDC on ERC-20, or bank transfer in euros |
Ethereum gas fees apply to USDC withdrawals and the firm does not say who pays them. We found no public payout feed or on-chain record. For traders who want cheaper networks, our list of firms that pay out in crypto shows USDT options.
Recent rule changes
Between 13 and 27 October 2026, BrightFunded added a futures line and split its site into CFDs and Futures. The CFD challenge pages moved to new addresses, and the pricing cards dropped the five-minute news row, though the help centre still applies it to funded accounts. The three crypto challenges did not change. We also corrected our own record: the 1-Step requires five minimum days unless you buy the add-on.
Who BrightFunded suits, and who should avoid it
It suits a forex-first trader who wants serious altcoin coverage, euro pricing, and the option to try a free $1K challenge before paying. US residents are not on the restricted list but are excluded from MT5 and must use the other platforms; the countries blocked outright are Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Vietnam, with Pakistan closed to new sign-ups only. It is a weaker fit for a crypto-only trader who wants high leverage, transparent costs or fast stablecoin payouts on cheap networks. Compare it in Breakout vs BrightFunded or with the HyroTrader review.
BrightFunded review verdict
BrightFunded offers the broadest crypto menu of any multi-asset firm we cover and generous rules on its 2-Step models. The concerns are trust and clarity: a Trustpilot profile (571 reviews) whose rating is hidden after fake reviews were removed, undisclosed crypto costs, and a single payout coin. Our CryptoPropFirms score is 53 out of 100.
Frequently asked questions
How many crypto pairs does BrightFunded offer?
BrightFunded lists 48 crypto CFD pairs against the US dollar, including majors, layer-1 and layer-2 tokens and DeFi coins, all at 1:5 leverage.
Can I hold crypto over the weekend at BrightFunded?
Yes. Crypto may be traded and held over the weekend, and weekend days count toward the daily loss limit like any other day.
How does BrightFunded pay out crypto?
Crypto rewards are paid only in USDC on the ERC-20 network. The alternative is a bank transfer in euros. The first reward comes 30 days after your first funded trade, then every 14 days.
Why is BrightFunded's Trustpilot rating unavailable?
Trustpilot withheld the rating for a breach of its guidelines and says it removed a number of fake reviews for the company.
Does BrightFunded accept US traders?
The US is absent from the blocked-country list. However, MT5 is closed to residents of the US and the UAE, so traders there use DXtrade or cTrader instead.
